Amanda Pacey, 31, of Stafford, was taken into custody on Thursday, Nov. 21 after deputies responded to a call on Shelton Shop Road around 6:03 p.m., the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Deputies were alerted that Pacey, wanted on multiple warrants in Stafford and Prince William counties, was at a residence where she wasn’t welcome.
Authorities confirmed her outstanding warrants included a probation violation, failure to appear, and pretrial violation, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
When deputies located Pacey inside a vehicle and called her by name, she claimed to be her twin sister in an apparent attempt to avoid arrest.
The ruse didn’t fool deputies, and after some persuasion, she exited the vehicle—but not without further drama, officials said.
As deputies attempted to arrest her, Pacey allegedly resisted, ignoring commands and struggling with officers, and during the scuffle, a glass vial fell from her person.
According to the sheriff's office, Pacey admitted the substance inside was crack cocaine.
Pacey was ultimately subdued and transported to the Rappahannock Regional Jail, where she was charged with possession of controlled substances, obstruction of justice, and falsely identifying herself to law enforcement.
She was also served with her outstanding warrants.
Pacey remains held without bond.
